Question Mark

As for my first post, I am going to start from the end of this blog's name..The ? mark....

In the English language, the question mark (?), also known as an
  • ·         Interrogation point
  • ·         Interrogation mark
  • ·         Question point
  • ·         Query
A punctuation mark that replaces the full stop (period) at the end of an interrogative sentence

The question mark is not used for indirect questions.

History

This earliest question mark was a decoration of one of these dots, with the "lightning flash" perhaps meant to denote intonation

The symbol is also thought originated from the Latin quaestiƍ meaning "question", and according to the picture below, transformed into the mark.
